Take a

the many old
water fountains found in
the city.
Visit local
wineries and wine
cooperative and visits to
the way the old chapel
"Notre Dame de
Cypres" and see cork
oaks in the
area where the bark is
peeled off, leaving the tree
bare in a
burnt orange color.
Visit tile
town Salernes. The whole city

The culinary
The market is open Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday mornings, a mini
supermarket and a couple of
small cafes.
Super U down
at the roundabout in Fayence
is an excellent
place to shop.
Down on the road to
Grasse is E.
Leclerc, a
larger and also excellent place.
Just before (at the corner
of St. Paul)
is Marche paysan, each
morning selling
fresh products from the area.
In the
Fayence there are many nice
little shops, butchers, bakers,
ice cream shops, etc.. A little
further up the road, Petit
Casino - also reasonably
well stocked.

Restaurants
There are many
nice restaurants around the
Fayence. Three of
them are
mentioned in the Michelin
Guide, La Farigoulette,
Le France and Le
Temp des
Cerise.
If you want a
star with the
drive towards Seillans
Le Castelleras,
a wonderful experience
and no more expensive
than an
average restaurant in
Denmark.
The emphasis of
these restaurants does not
mean that all the
others are not worth visiting.
You can hardly
avoid eating well.
We are
close to the truffle
center in France, which
is the stretch from
Aups to Grasse.
We've tried the exclusive
truffle market
in Grasse, but
Aups is
the absolute original
center. |

Wineries
There are many good
wineries. In
Fayence has
Domaine Cabris
a nice
rosé. (Pass
SUPER U
out against
Draguignanvejen, to the left
lies the Domaine
Cabris). |

On the waterfront
For the kids, Marineland
at Antibes
is an experience.
Bathing is best
in the Mediterranean. We
recommend stretch between
Mandelieu and Cannes,
but also
the lake Lac
de St. Cassien
12 min. drive from here
is excellent.
You can also water
cycle. |

Gorges du Verdon
There
are plenty of beautiful and
spectacular natural wonders
in the area, from the
lush vineyards and
olive groves, the
great forests of cork oaks
(St. Paul), mimosa
or pine trees
to bare
mountain peaks and
deep gorges.
The city of Mons,
which still uses the old
Provencal names
and all the Gorges du
Verdon area is
a great and
different experience, both
to drive through, and to walk
in.
But it is almost
impossible to recommend
one over the other, for
at every turn of the road
waiting for a new,
wonderful sight.
The palm trees on the coast,
the Mediterranean, avenues or
seats in the small towns
with plantan trees
or the red
Esterel mountains
is also not to stand
for - just something
else entirely. |
